This position will support teacher's direction by providing assistance with academic, social, and behavioral needs of assigned clients.
You will assist in the implementation of a basic educational programming and performing duties as directed by the building administrator or classroom teacher inclusive of individual tutoring or one-on-one support for a student with special needs.
Every day as an Instructional Support Specialist you will:
Ensuring the health and safety of youth in our Glenmoore, PA private school Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.
Support the teacher and administration's direction while supporting youth and reporting progress daily.

50hr up to $18.
81hr (based upon experience and education) ASCEND - Career Accelerator Program Sign on Bonus- $1000 for full-time and $500 for part-time.
(Sign on bonus for external applicants only) Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders.
Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required.
Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate's understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
